Food & Hotel Africa 2000
As the fastest-growing industry in South
Africa, tourism is one of the keynotes of the South African economy. The hospitality
industry, as an integral part of tourism, generates billions of Rands every year and I
therefore vital to our economy.
This was reflected by an exhibitor profile of 98 South African Exhibitors from a
cross-section of the food, drink and hospitality industries. Furthermore, 21 International
Exhibitors from countries such as USA, England, France, India, Pakistan, and Malaysia
displayed their wares. A measure of Food & Hotel Africa's success was the high quality
audience that visited the show.

International visitors from Africa were from Angola,
Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
International visitors also came from Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, India, Italy,
Netherlands, Emirates, United Kingdom and USA. Food & Hotel Africa 2000 attracted 5609 visitors.
